Router models with web interface:
Introduction
What is a static route and what is it used for?
A static route is a manually configured network setting that enables a device to send network traffic through a specific path. This specific route is used to direct traffic to a specific network or subnet.
Static routes are configured manually. They define an explicit path between two network devices and must be manually reconfigured if the network's topology changes.
Note: We need to have ReyeeOS version 1.86.1929 or later to be able to create a static route towards the LAN
Configuration
1.- Access our router and select the "Router" or "Gateway" tab (depending on the language setting of your device).
*If it has the default IP, it is 192.168.110.1.
2.- Select the section:
Advanced -> Routing
3.- We will have 2 tabs, which are:
PBR (Policy-Based Routing)
Static Routing
Select the second one, "Static Routing."
4.- Click on "Add" and fill in the values in the fields as follows:
Destination IP Address: The network segment you want to reach.
Subnet Mask: The subnet mask used by that network segment.
Outgoing Interface: The WAN or LAN through which the connection to that segment will exit.
Next Hop: This is the IP address that the Router has within the segments it knows.
After filling in the changes, click on "Accept," and it will display our saved static route as follows.
With this, our configuration is complete.
