Models of routers with this web interface:
QoS.- Quality of Service (Quality of Service) allows us to prioritize specific data traffic to certain clients (by clients, we mean various devices connected to the same network). This can be done on both routers and layer 2 manageable switches.
We need to first identify the IP address or addresses for which we want to limit the speed.
Configuration
1.- Access the router and select the "Router or Gateway" tab, depending on the firmware version.
*If the default IP address is 192.168.110.1
2.- Navigate to the following path:
Behavior -> Flow Control
3.- To set up the QoS limit, you need to activate the "Smart Flow Control" option. When enabling it, you will be prompted to enter your internet speed or you can leave it at the default setting.
Click on Save.
4.- Once saved, the "Custom Policy" tab will be enabled. Access it, and click on "Add" to create the first rule you desire.
5.- You must fill in the following box depending on the type of limitation you want to apply.
Example:
You are going to limit a specific IP.
Policy Name: Enter a name for the rule.
Type: Custom...
IP Range/IP: Enter the IP or IP range.
Bandwidth Type: Independent
Channel: 4 (group priority).
Bandwidth limit: Limit kps
Upstream Link Rate: For both CIR and PIR, enter the upload speed to limit.
Downstream Link Rate: For both CIR and PIR, enter the download speed to limit.
WAN Interface: Select the WAN or all WAN interfaces.
Click on Accept to save the rule.
