Configuration

1.- The first step is to access the device, which has the following default information:

  • IP: 10.44.77.200

  • Username: admin

  • Password: admin

Note: If the switch is under an SMB router, the equipment will inherit the username and password from that device, and it will also obtain an IP via DHCP.

2.- Within the interface, navigate to the following path to create the VLAN ID: VLAN

Settings -> VLAN Members

Having completed the above steps, it will appear as follows:

3.- Now, go to the VLAN Settings section to configure the ports:

Trunk Port (To receive the VLAN from the switch):

  • Port: 16

  • VLAN Type: Trunk

  • VLAN Native: VLAN 1

  • Permit VLAN: Select all.

  • Click 'SAVE' to save the configuration.

Access Port (To untag the VLAN):

  • Port: 1

  • VLAN Type: Access

  • Access VLAN: VLAN16

Click 'SAVE' to save the configuration.

Having completed the above steps, it will look like this:

With this, the configuration is complete.

Verification

Connect the device to the port where you untagged the VLAN to receive an IP from that segment.
