This configuration is only for the following ES devices:

Introduction:

Address Filtering

A Media Access Control (MAC) address is a unique data link layer address assigned to a network device. A data link layer device, such as a switch, maintains a table of MAC addresses to forward frames to a destination port. Entries in the switch's MAC address table are generated either statically or dynamically.

Note: With this configuration, we can match the MAC address to the port, meaning that the MAC address cannot be connected to any other network port except the one assigned to it. If another device is connected to the designated port, it will be granted network access.

Configuration:

1. The first step is to access the device, which has the following default data:

- IP: 10.44.77.200

- Username: admin

- Password: admin

Note: If the switch is under an SMB Router, the device will inherit the username and password from the router, as well as receive an IP address via DHCP.

2. Go to the following path:

Switch Setting -> Static MAC

3. It will open the following screen.

We fill in the following parameters to select port X for VLAN X that you desire (if applicable).

When you click on 'Add,' it will appear as follows.

With this, only the static MAC address will be able to connect to that port.

Do you want to make any other configurations on this range of switches? You can refer to any of these manuals:
