The Operating Modes window allows you to determine how the router will connect to the internet.

You can choose between three types of WAN: mobile, wired, and Wi-Fi.

You can also configure backup WAN options in case your primary connection goes down.

You can choose one primary WAN and one or two (or none) backup WAN options.

To choose your primary WAN, simply check the desired option (wired, mobile, or Wi-Fi) in the Primary WAN column (first from the left), to choose a backup WAN, check the desired options in the WAN column (second from the left).

An example of a configuration using wired as the primary WAN and mobile as the backup WAN is shown above.

The Operating Modes tab also displays the name of each interface, the WAN IP address, and the protocol in use.

To configure a WAN interface in more depth, click the Edit button located to the right of the desired interface.

Each interface is configured separately, to avoid redundancy, this chapter will only provide an overview of the wired WAN interface configuration, as the mobile one contains less information and the Wi-Fi is basically the same.
