In this article, we will see how to configure the RUT240 device in repeater mode, meaning we will use the internet via WiFi. This can be useful for testing purposes since the device can be better utilized either wired or through its SIM card.
It can work with any firmware version; in this instance, it will be configured with the RUT2_R_00.07.01.4 firmware.
We access its configuration through the web interface, by entering its IP address (by default 192.168.1.1) with the credentials username/password (admin/admin01).
Once inside the device, on the left side, we can navigate to the Networks -> Wireless menu.
In the next window, we will see our wireless connections, click on the SCAN button.
We will select our WiFi network that we want to connect to. Upon clicking "Join Network", a dialog box will open for entering the password for that network and a name.
We will be prompted to confirm the data by clicking "save & apply".
And with this, our configuration will be complete.
