When an NVR has PoE ports the cameras are usually added by Plug&Play (while the cameras are inactive) but sometimes it is not possible to connect them directly to the recorder for different reasons and they have to be added via the LAN network The first thing to check is that both the IP camera and the NVR are in the same network segment.

Once the computers are in the same network it is necessary to enter the section "1 - Function Panel" in the NVR, select "2 - Edit Camera", then select "3 - Add Camera" and finally select "4 - Add Manually".

In this last section we will enter the IP address of the camera that we want to add along with the user and password. In addition, we select the protocol, that is, if the camera is E Series we select the EPCOM protocol, and if it is of another brand we select ONVIF protocol and finally we select the option "Add".

If the camera was added correctly in the status it will say "Online".
