REQUIREMENTS:

The process outlined below applies to any RUIJIE brand device. The only requirement for the procedure is that the device has internet access and that you have an account on the RUIJIE platform.

PROCESS:

  1. We access our RUIJIE application using our credentials, go to the Project menu, and select 'Create your first project.'

2. We select the option 'Scan QR-code.'

3. We scan the QR code of the device.

4. We enter the identifier name that we want for the device.

5. We enter the name we want for the project.

6. If we don't have video surveillance devices, we skip this step.

7.We go back to the Project menu and see that the project now appears with an active device.

8. We enter the project by clicking on it, and our network topology for that project appears.

9. We click on the network topology, and all the devices within it will appear, both online and offline.

10. We select the device, and the configuration for that device will be displayed. We can perform the same configurations as those available on the web, which include:

- Enable/disable ports.

- Duplex mode / Half.

- Change port negotiation.

- Enable/disable ports.

- VLAN management.

- Enable loop prevention.

Notes

  1. To access the interface of each device through the RUIJIE web platform or CLI, we need a RUIJIE router in which tunnels must be enabled to connect to our devices.

  2. Due to the above, we cannot make changes to the local IP address, as it is only possible to do so by connecting locally to the device or opening the interface remotely.

  3. Every time a device is added to a project, it must be removed from that project to add it to another project or to reset it.

  4. Any changes made through the web platform or mobile application will be reflected in both.
