Ruijie - Share Administration Only for Captive Portal (User Management)

This article explains how to share only the captive portal administration with a user in Ruijie Cloud.

Introduction

When you have a network configured with a captive portal that authenticates through vouchers or user credentials, there are times when you need a user to manage or administer this data for authentication. To avoid giving a user access to the entire project or sensitive configurations, Ruijie Cloud allows you to provide access only to the User Management section where this management is done.

Note:

  • It is necessary to register another account in the Ruijie Cloud portal.

  • It is assumed that you have already created and configured the hotspot; the following article is recommended: Ruijie - Captive Portal Template.

Configuration

The first step is to go to Configuration > Authentication > User Management.

Within User Management, it displays all the administration for captive portals. To share only this administration, you should go to E-sharing and copy the link provided in this section:

The copied link should be shared with the other user (via email, WhatsApp, etc.) who will only have access to the User Management of this project. Later, the user should log in to their account using that link:

The user who only has access to User Management will only be able to see the following:

Configuration options will not be visible in this account for this project. The main account can see a list of users who have access to User Management:
