INTRODUCTION
In some cases, it is necessary to deploy a device to extend WiFi coverage. Placing a wireless router can sometimes be problematic when the goal is to have everything on the same LAN or in the same network segment. Therefore, it is important to acquire a device that has the access point operation. In Ruijie's wireless routers for Reyee Home, this can be done quickly and easily.
CONFIGURATION
NOTE: Verify that the device is up to date.
When the device operates in router mode, it has a different WAN IP address than the LAN segment:
To configure, it is necessary to access the router's interface. If it is in factory settings, the IP is 192.168.110.1. Navigate to 'More' > 'Work Mode'.
In this section, select 'Access Point' > 'Check'.
Subsequently, it will prompt you to configure the SSID that the device will broadcast. Set the values and save the configuration.
Once the change is saved, the configuration as an access point is complete.
VALIDATION
To validate the configuration, simply connect to the SSID broadcasted by the device and check that it is in the same segment as the main router or on the device, you can see that the Internet option is disabled:
