1. Registering the DP720 handset to the DP750 base station

On the handset, go to:
Menu > Settings > Registration > Register
Inside this menu, select Base 1 and press the Subscribe option. At this moment, the handset will begin searching for available bases, so you must immediately press and hold the following button on the DP750 base station:

Hold the button until the following LED on the base station lights up:

Then, on the handset, it will indicate that the base has been found. Proceed to press the Subscribe button, and the handset will confirm that it has been registered.

2. Registering the DP750 base station on the UCM6XXX

Note: On the DP720 handset, go to Menu > Status to check the IP address of the DP750 base station.

  1. Open a web browser (preferably Chrome) and enter the IP address of the DP750 base station.

A page will appear indicating that nothing is registered yet.

  2. Go to Profiles > Profile 1 > General Settings > SIP Server (here, enter the IP address configured on the UCM6XXX; in this example, the UCM has IP 192.168.5.12) and ensure that Profile Active is set to YES.

Note: This guide assumes that an extension has already been created on the UCM with its AuthID and password, as this is essential for connecting to the PBX.

  3. Go to DECT > SIP Account Settings and configure the Extension (SIP User ID), AuthID, and Password that were previously set up on the UCM6XXX. Select Profile 1 (configured earlier). HS1 indicates the port used by the handset. Since this is the first handset being registered, select HS1 and ensure it is active.

Example: In this example, extension 1001 was configured on the UCM with Auth ID 1001 and a password.

  4. Next, go to DECT > Handset Line Settings and, for HS1 and Line 1, select the previously created extension (in this example, extension 1001).

  5. You can verify that the handset is ready for use by going to Status > Account Status, where it should display as in the example image.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If the SIP extensions do not register, go to Profiles > Profile 1 > SIP Settings and enable the Use Random SIP Port function.
